FAQs

What equipment do the surveyors use to conduct a damp survey?

All of our surveyors use the latest damp surveying equipment ranging such as Protimeters, Thermal Imaging Cameras, Endoscope Cameras, Calcium Carbide Testing Kit and Dye testing.

They can also use telescopic ladders and camera extension poles so they can gather as much information as possible from all areas of the property.

How long does a typical survey take?

The length of a survey is very much dependent on the surveyors findings and the size of the property. Typically a survey can take between two to four hours.

What locations do your surveyors cover?

Our surveyors mainly cover Greater London, however we can cover country wide, if required.

Do you undertake the works after the survey has been carried out?

As we are specialist independent surveyors, we do not work in conjunction with contractors, or builders, therefore we do not undertake the remedial works, but do list the specific works needed in the standard comprehensive report. This allows us to offer an unbiased, honest and realistic report as we have no financial gain from any remedial work conducted following the outcome of our findings

When will I get a survey report afterwards?

After the inspection we endeavour to send the report within 48 working hours.  You will receive an in-depth and detailed report explaining all of our findings and a list of recommendations for the required works.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We guarantee our reports will resolve your issues, providing that you follow the advice provided in the report and any work advised to remedy the problem is completed by a reputable builder, or repairer within a reasonable timeframe following our report.

How much does a survey cost?

The cost of a survey varies depending on the type of survey, size and location of the property and how many rooms need to be surveyed.

Are your surveyors qualified?

All our surveyors are qualified to a high standard with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Are your surveys intrusive?

We try to avoid drilling, tampering, scraping etc unless necessary and we will request permission in advance.
